The Great Wildebeest Migration in Masai Mara.The great migration is on again and everyone is heading for Masai Mara to watch the 7th Wonder of the World. Masai Mara's Gnu migration has been named the 7th Wonder of the World by the American ABC Television.The massive Serengeti National Park in Tanzania is perhaps the world's most famous game reserve. For a unique perspective, we can set you up with a hot-air balloon flight over the Serengeti as the sun rises and is one of the safari highlights in this country.
Southeast of the Serengeti, the amazing Ngorongoro Crater and Ndutu is home to a dense population of animals, including zebras, wildebeests, gazelles and their predators and this is renown as the breeding ground for the wildebeest before they embark on a long journey to Masai Mara.
Visible from a hundred miles on a clear day, Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest freestanding mountain in the world. Some safaris include a climb to the summit, or you can make arrangements to add a climb to the midway point, pre- or post-safari.
Across the border in Kenya, the Masai Mara National Reserve offers some of the best Big Five game viewing. Most safaris in Kenya and Tanzania include a visit with members of the Masai Tribe, one of Africa's largest and best-known tribes in Africa. If you are seeking an active and adventurous vacation far from the normal touristic routes, turn to Hirola Tours and Safaris whose African Safaris provide an intimate cultural experience for travelers. Groups on this tour rarely exceed 20 travelers, allowing the company to maintain its commitment to spontaneity and budget impact travel.
Accommodations are selected according to our philosophy of Sustainable/Eco-tourism. On this program you may stay overnight at a simple yet comfortable hotels, guest houses, lodges, beehive huts or at campsites where guests are expected to participate in preparation of meals and other camp duties.
Highlights include travel in safari microbus, sightseeing on foot and homestays. You won't have to be exceptionally athletic but you must be physically fit to have full advantage of this tour.
Standard Safaris

Hirola Tours and Safaris have carefully designed these tours to include essential sightseeing, ensuring an authentic safari experience as you explore Africa's dramatic landscapes and its wonderful wildlife.
On this tour a maximum of six guests share a specially converted safari microbus bus with a game viewing roof hatch and a two way UHF radio, passengers have a guaranteed window seats and good photo opportunities.
Accommodations range from first class Hotels, set amid scenic mountains and rainforests to safari lodge within and bordering game reserves. Most meals are included, sometimes with farewell diners at fine and world renown restaurants. Experienced driver/guides, clean comfortable accommodations assure the superior quality of these programs.
Deluxe Safaris

Luxury Safaris

Hirola Tours and Safaris' experienced and creativity minded planners design Itineraries that often include out of the way spots that are mostly missed by other travelers and safari guests to Kenya and Tanzania.
Accommodations range from luxury camps with ensuite bathrooms and private verandas. There is also free time to explore on your own. On this tour highlights range from visiting private owned wildlife conservancies within Kenya and Tanzania to actor William Holden former private retreat that is Mt. Kenya Safari Club to Nguruman Escarpment and breathtaking Shompole Camp.
Shompole is located in a private conservancy overlooking the vast plain of the Great Rift Valley, the camp was designed with a unique touch of the African bush, using water as the main decorative feature with a private plunge pool on every room.
Guaranteed window seat and access to photographic roof hatch in specially equipped custom built four wheel drive safari land cruisers driven by accomplished driver/guide is the main highlight apart from internal flight from point to point in a chartered Cessna type flight.
