Indian Ocean Club
Indian Ocean Beach Club - Mombasa, Kenya
The Indian Ocean Beach Club is located 40 kms in clear white sandy beaches and surrounded by swaying coconut palm gloves and magnificent old stoic baobabs.
The resort, south of Kenya’s old seaport, Mombasa, is adjacent to the site
of the 16th century Kongo Mosque. It's set to recreate the bygone opulence
of the rich Sultans of Zanzibar.
All the double and twin bedded club rooms are tastefully appointed with local hand carved furnishings and are filled with luxurious amenities.
There are three restaurants namely: Spices; which is an airy first floor restaurant, over looking the ocean, that specializes in a rich exotic pot-pourri of masterpieces from the shores of the Indian Ocean.
Bahari Cove; An open air, informal beach restaurant featuring shellfish and seafood Swahili style’. A snack lunch menu is also available. Ocean Terrace; Al fresco pool-side patio restaurant serving a tropical breakfast buffet facing the ocean.
Surrounding the grand Moorish style arches of the main building are scattered smaller, white washed, 'makuti' roofed structures of our 100 airy deluxe clubrooms. The 19 square 'village styled' clubrooms all face the half kilometer beach bordering the warm turquoise-blue waters of the Indian Ocean.
